Makes 4 servings



Moist, cakey pudding with a yummy sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Pudding

1 cup flour
1/2 cup white sugar
6 tbsp 1% milk
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup apple, chopped
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Apple Pudding

  1. Mix the flour, sugar, butter, baking powder, salt and milk together. If mix does not hold together, add a little more milk as needed, but it should be slightly drier than cookie dough.

  2. Fold in apples and put in greased ceramic baking dish.

  3. Boil the water and stir in brown sugar until melted. I like to add some rum or whiskey to this sugar-water mixture sometimes for flavour (don't worry, the alcohol evaporates out).

  4. Bake uncovered at 400F for 45 minutes. Check doneness my sticking a knife tip into the centre.

  5. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
