Recipe Ingredients for Apple Pie Filling


Combine:
1 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1/2 t. ground cinnamon
1 dash ground nutmeg

Add to:
6 c. apples, thinly sliced

Recipe Directions for Apple Pie Filling

  1. Toss to coat fruit.

  2. Fill lined pie plate, dot with butter.

  3. Place top crust on, trim ½ inch beyond pie plate.

  4. Fold extra under bottom layer, flute edge with fork. Sprinkle sugar on top.

  5. Cover edge of pan with foil.

  6. Bake at 375ºF for 25 minutes.

  7. Remove foil and bake for 20-25 more minutes.

  8. Serves 8.

  9. To be used with Double Pie Crust
