Recipe Ingredients for apple and peach baked pudding

250 ml milk
1 tsp vanilla
3 egg yolks
60 g sugar
1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp corn starch, (cornmeal)
200 g apple
250 g peach
50 ml cream
1 egg

Recipe Directions for apple and peach baked pudding

  1. Peal and cut the peaches and apples in thin slices. If you use canned peaches let them drain a bit before slicing them.

  2. Set the milk and vanilla essence or beans to boil.

  3. In a bowl mix the egg yolks and sugar until they start turning white.

  4. Add the flour and corn starch to the yolks and mix.

  5. Pour the hot milk a little at a time and mix in with the yolks.

  6. Pour the mixture back in the pot and set on a slow fire. keep mixing until it starts boiling, then remove from the stove.

  7. Cover it well and put it in a larger bowl with cold water in the freezer.

  8. Arrange the fruit slices in a pie/oven plate.

  9. Take the custard cream out of the fridge and add the cream and egg to the mix.

  10. Pour over the fruits and set in the oven at 180-200C for about 30min.

  11. It should turn a golden yellow-brown.
