Recipe Ingredients for Apple and Oatmeal Whole Wheat Muffin

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 banana, mashed
1/3 cup applesauce (no sugar added)
3/4 cup soy milk
1 apple
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped

Recipe Directions for Apple and Oatmeal Whole Wheat Muffin

  1. Set oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Dice apple into 1/2" chunks.

  3. Thoroughly mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.

  4. Mix the mashed banana, applesauce and soy milk.

  5. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and toss the nuts and apples.

  6. Scoop into paper linings in a muffin tray.

  7. Bake for 15 minutes, cool and serve.
