A hearty muffin that will keep you full

Recipe Ingredients for Apple/Oatmeal/Cranberry Muffins

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp flax seed
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1 apple, Granny Smith
1/3 cup white sugar
1/2 banana, mashed
1/3 cup applesauce, unsweetened
3/4 cup skim milk

Recipe Directions for Apple/Oatmeal/Cranberry Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a muffin pan with non-stick spray or line with cupcake liners.

  2. Mix dry ingredients and set aside.

  3. Dice your apple and put on top of dry ingredients.

  4. Mash banana, add applesauce and milk.

  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients.

  6. Spoon into muffin pan.

  7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
