Recipe Ingredients for Apple Oatmeal Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups Dark Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 cup butter, or margarine (2 sticks), softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups oats, rolled
1 apple, tart, peeled and finely chopped

Recipe Directions for Apple Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.

  3. In large bowl, combine brown sugar and butter; beat until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

  5. Add flour mixture and rolled oats separately to creamed mixture, blending well after each addition.

  6. Stir in apples.

  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  8. Bake 10 to 12 min. or until lightly browned.
