Recipe Ingredients for Apple-Oat Cookies

1 cup packed brown sugar
6 tbs butter without salt
2 tsp imitation vanilla
3 tbs honey
1 large egg
3/4 tsp sea salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup peeled apples, chopped
62 g oat bran
1 1/3 cup oatmeal
1 cup whole grain flour

Recipe Directions for Apple-Oat Cookies

  1. Cream butter and sugar in a medium bowl, add spices, leavening agents, vanilla, eggs, and salt, and mix well to combine.

  2. Add apples, oat bran, oatmeal, and flour, and stir well to combine.

  3. Drop 2 oz. scoops of dough onto greased baking sheet, and bake for 12 minutes or until edges start to brown.

  4. Yield: About 17 cookies
