Delicious! It uses real apples, apple sauce, and wheat flour, which make it a healthier alternative you your usual store-bought, preservative filled muffins. I use golden delicious apples, but other baking apples will work as well.

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Muffins

1 cups apples, diced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Apple Muffins

  1. 1. 1 Toss apple with brown sugar and set aside.

  2. 2. 2 Whisk egg, applesauce, & vanilla.

  3. 3. 3 Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well.

  4. 4. 4 Add apple mixture. Mix well.

  5. 5. 5 Pour into 12 greased muffin tins.

  6. 6. 6 Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes.
