These are not too sweet. You can skip the cinnamon or you can add 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg instead.

Recipe Ingredients for Apple muffins

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup applesauce (no sugar)
3/4 cup soy milk (plain or vanilla)
2 apples, grated

Recipe Directions for Apple muffins

Mix dry and liquid ingredients separately, combine and add grated apples. Stir just to get rid of dry chunks. Bake in muffin form at 350F until golden-brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
