Delicious larger then snack size apple pies, not healthy at all, but in my freezer

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Hand Pies

3/4 cups shortening
1/2 cups butter
3 cups flour
1/2 cups water
12 apples
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tbs nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Apple Hand Pies

  1. Combine butter and shortening with flour

  2. Mix in water until just combines. Wrap dough and let rest in fridge for 30 min.

  3. Chop apples into small pieces, and mix with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

  4. Remove dough from freezer and divide into 16 pieces.

  5. Roll each piece of dough in to a circle, about 1/8" think.

  6. Spoon 2 Tbs apple filling into circle.

  7. Using your finger, wet the edge of the circle with warm water, and then fold into a half moon shape. Use for or fingers to seal.

  8. Place on baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes.
