Recipe Ingredients for Apple Galettes

1 1/4 cup flour
6 tbsp water
8 small apples
4 tsp cinnamon
4 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Apple Galettes

  1. Mix flour, smart balance and water, til mixture resembles coarse corn meal, roll into 4 balls, and refrigerate at least one hour; remove one at a time and divide in two and roll each into a thin circle. Top with 1/8th of the apple mixture (apples, peeled, sliced, and seasoned with cinn/sugar). Crimp edges turning upward over 1/4 of the apple filling, leaving a nice golf-ball sized opening.

  2. Bake 1/2 hr at 400 or until browned nicely, cool and enjoy your individual apple galettes (french for tart I believe)
