Recipe Ingredients for Apple-Filled Oven French Toast

30 slices bread, French
30 ounces apple pie filling
8 large eggs
2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp dark corn syrup
20 tbsp maple syrup
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup pecans

Recipe Directions for Apple-Filled Oven French Toast

Grease 9X13 with 2 T butter. One layer bread, then pie filling and another bread layer. Set aside. Blend eggs through spices. Pour over bread and refrigerate overnight (covered). Just before baking, make topping by combining 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, dark corn syrup and chopped pecans. Spread over top. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes until top is puffed and golden.
