Recipe Ingredients for Apple Crumble Cake

2 medium apples
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup whole milk
1 large egg
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Apple Crumble Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Spray an 8 inch square pan

  3. Sift the flour and baking powder together, and mix in granulated sugar. Add the milk, beaten egg and melted butter; mix together just until there are no huge lumps. Pour into the pan.

  4. Make the crumble mixture; melt the butter in a pan, add the flour, sugar and cinnamon, and mix well until it crumbles.

  5. Peel, core and cut up the apples, and put on top of cake batter. Sprinkle the top with the crumble mixture.

  6. Bake for 40 minutes. Cut into squares.
