Baked apples with crunchy whole wheat crisp topping. CC Grade B+.

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Crsip

1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/8 cup wheat germ
2 tbsp flax seed
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp margarine
2 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup oatmeal
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp grape juice, no sugar added

Recipe Directions for Apple Crsip

  1. Cut margarine into combined oats, flour, 1/4 cup of the brown sugar, flax seed, wheat germ and grape juice.

  2. Mix apples with honey, lime juice, cinnamon and the rest of the brown sugar. Pour into 8x8 baking dish.

  3. Sprinkle oat mixture on top of apples and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Check dish occasionally to see that crisp is not too dry.
