Standard oatmeal topping for baked fruit desert

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Crisp

900 g apple (6-8 medium apples)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine

Recipe Directions for Apple Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Peel and core apples. Cut into chunks or slices and arrange in the bottom of a baking dish. (Depending on sweetness of fruit you may toss with a little extra brown sugar)

  3. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients. Using a pastry blender cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  4. Layer topping over fruit. Do not pack down.

  5. Bake for about 30 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or plain.
