Recipe Ingredients for Apple Cranberry Crisp

1 c brown sugar, divided
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
6 c. granny smith apples, peeled and cubed
1/2 c. dried cranberries
1 tsp. orange zest
1/2 c. baking mix
1/2 c. uncooked oats
1/2 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter

Recipe Directions for Apple Cranberry Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 2 quart baking dish.

  2. Combine 1/2 cup of the brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg in large bowl. Add the apples, cranberries, and orange zest. Toss and spoon into prepared baking dish.

  3. In medium bowl, combine baking mix, oats, walnuts, salt and the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over apples.

  4. Bake for 50 minutes.
