Apple cinnamon whole wheat muffins

Recipe Ingredients for Apple cinnamon muffins

2 1/4 cups 100% whole wheat flour
1 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1/4 cup canola oil
1/8 cup canola oil
2 large granny smith apples

Recipe Directions for Apple cinnamon muffins

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl, mix together with a spoon. In a separate bowl, combine almond milk and canola oil. Peel, core and dice the apples into small pieces and sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Pour the almond milk and oil mixture into the dry flour mix and combine, fold in the cinnamon flavored apples. Spray a 12 muffin tin with canola spray, bake at 400 degrees for approx 35-35 mins, depending on oven.
