Great substitute for the regular bread. You can always omit the white flour and use whole wheat flour instead to get added fiber. Plus it is vegan and adds a little treat for those sweet twinges that you feel. You can also add raisins if you like.

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Cinnamon loaf

1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup applesauce
1 apple
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. flaxseed

Recipe Directions for Apple Cinnamon loaf

Peel and cut an apple into dice sizes. Place apples in a frying pan and simmer with cinnamon. Do not use oil, use canola oil to omit extra calories. In a separate bowl place dry ingredients in a bowl. You can add dry milk if you want to, if so add two tbsp. Then add applesauce and apples and knead into a loaf. Set aside for ten minutes then place in 350 degree oven until bread is done, usually thirty to forty five minutes. In a separate bowl you can take splenda and a little cinnamon and mix. Take a brush and spread mixture over the bread during its last five minutes. Then put back in the oven. Take out of the oven and let cool or you can put a slice of veggie slice in between and enjoy!!!!
