Quick to put together before bed & wake to a nice warm, filling, healthy breakfast. Butter can be left out, but DON'T forget the non-stick spray!! You can also substitute all the sugar with Splenda or stevia. I also add chia-omega3. Add nuts or berries as optional topping after you dish it out! (refrigerate & reheat extra servings...add some skim milk before microwaving so it's not too thick)

Recipe Ingredients for Apple-Cinn. Steel Cut Crock-Pot Oatmeal

2 apples, peeled, cored, cut into 1/2-inch pieces (2-1/2 to 3 cups chopped)
1 cups fat-free milk
1 cups water
1 cup uncooked steel cut oats
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 Stevia
1 tablespoons butter, cut into 5-6 pieces
2 teaspoons cinnamon
3 tablespoon ground flax seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons benefiber

Recipe Directions for Apple-Cinn. Steel Cut Crock-Pot Oatmeal

  1. Spray the inside of crock pot with non-stick spray.

  2. Peel & chop apples (1/4-1/2 inch pieces). Add all ingredients into crock pot. Set on low before bed, cook for 7-8 hours. Enjoy!
