A tangy compliment to any pork dish

Recipe Ingredients for Apple chutney

2 large apples
1/2 c onion, chopped (one small onion)
1/4 c red wine vinegar
1/4 c brown sugar
1 tbsp orange zest
1 tbsp ginger
1/2 tsp allspice

Recipe Directions for Apple chutney

  1. Chop apples, discarding the core.

  2. Chop onion.

  3. Add all ingredients to a large pot, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1hr.

  4. Note: Depending on desired consistency, remove lid for last 10 -15 mins of simmering
