Great alternative to the real thing

Recipe Ingredients for Apple-Cherry Crisp


Filling:
1 c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
3/4 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. ground nutmeg
4 c. apples, peeled and thinly sliced
16 oz. pitted sour cherries, drained

Topping:
4 graham crackers
3 T. slivered almonds
2 T. brown sugar, packed
2 T. unsalted butter, melted

Recipe Directions for Apple-Cherry Crisp

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Coat 8x8 baking dish with spray.

  2. For filling: In small bowl combine first 4 ingredients. MIx well. In large bowl combine remaining ingredients with sugar mixture. Toss to mix. Spread in prepared dish.

  3. For topping: Place crackers in food processor; process into crumbs. Add remaining ingredients and process until moistened. Sprinkle over apple mixture.

  4. Bake 1 hr.
