Warm and healthy dessert for cold winter nights

Recipe Ingredients for Apple Cake

1/4 cup oil
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/4 cups white flour
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
3 cups chopped apples

Recipe Directions for Apple Cake

  1. Mix all ingredients except apples

  2. Stir in chopped apples

  3. Bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes.

  4. Serve warm with cool whip. (not included in calorie count)

  5. **** optional - 1 cup nuts may be added to the batter before baking (not included in the calorie count)
