Recipe Ingredients for Apple Bran Muffins

1 cup flour
2 tbs. SPLENDA Brown Sugar Blend
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup peeled, finely chopped green apple
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
1/4 cup canola oil
1 large egg
2 cups Whole Grain Total

Recipe Directions for Apple Bran Muffins

  1. preheat oven to 400 F

  2. grease or line 12 muffin cups

  3. combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon & nutmeg in a medium bowl.

  4. mix apple, water, dry milk, oil & egg in a small bowl.

  5. Add to flour mixture; stir until moistened.

  6. stir in cereal.

  7. spoon into prepared muffin cups; about 2/3 full.

  8. bake 12-15 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. remove to wire rack; cool slightly.

  10. serve warm.
