Recipe Ingredients for Apple Blender Waffle/Pancake

3 cups water
1/3 cup powdered milk
1 apple
1 cup pearled barley
1 cup oats
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
2 tablespoon canola oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tablespoon baking powder

Recipe Directions for Apple Blender Waffle/Pancake

  1. Put 1st 5 ingredients in blender (like a vita mix. Regular blenders can handle how thick it gets) Blend on high for 2-3 minutes.

  2. add the next 5 ingredients and blend about 20 more seconds.

  3. Then add the baking powder. (rumford brand is the best to use) pulse 3 times. the mixture will foam. Cook on hot non-stick griddle.

  4. Makes about 10 waffles in a belgian waffle maker or about 20 3 inch pancakes.
