Recipe Ingredients for Apple Betty

4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
2 T orange juice

Topping:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 dash salt
1/2 cup butter, softened

Recipe Directions for Apple Betty

  1. Peel and slice apples and spread in baking dish.

  2. Sprinkle orange juice over sliced apples.

  3. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in mixing bowl.

  4. Cut butter into dry ingredients (like pie crust).

  5. Spread topping over apples and bake at 375F for 50 minutes or until top is crispy and apples are soft.
