Recipe Ingredients for Apple Betty

4 cups apples, thinly sliced
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup flour
1/8 cup white sugar (NOTE: use 1 cup Splenda)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup margarine

Recipe Directions for Apple Betty

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9 inch pie plate

  2. Mound sliced apples in the pie plate then sprinkle with orange juice.

  3. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, Splenda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt

  4. Cut in margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then scatter over the apples

  5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes then serve warm.
