These are for anzac day in australia 25th of april, they were sent to the troops in world war two beause of there excelent keeping properties

Recipe Ingredients for ANZAC BISCUITS

1 cup flour
1 cup quick oats
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Coconut Unsweetened
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 tablespoon golden syrup
125 g butter

Recipe Directions for ANZAC BISCUITS

  1. combine all dry ingredience

  2. melt butter in microwave

  3. add golden syrup to bicarb soda then add 1 tablespoon of boiling water, add to melted butter

  4. combine wet and dry mixes

  5. roll in to 24 balls place on 2 trays and bake at 170 degrees celcius for 17 minutes biscuits will harden on standing
