Veganized classic Kiwi & Australian biscuit

Recipe Ingredients for Anzac biscuits

1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut flakes
4 oz margarine
2 tablespoons boiling water
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

Recipe Directions for Anzac biscuits

  1. Line a baking tray and preheat oven to 180 C.

  2. Mix together dry ingredients (except for baking soda) in a large bowl.

  3. In a small bowl, melt golden syrup and margarine. Whisk in baking soda and boiling water.

  4. Combine all ingredients, adding more water if necessary.

  5. Drop teaspoonfulls of biscuits onto the baking tray and bake for 12 minutes.
