Recipe Ingredients for anise seed biscotti

2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon anise seeds
1 cup all-purpose flour

Recipe Directions for anise seed biscotti

  1. beat eggs and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy. Stir in the anise seeds. Stir in the flour gradually. Transfer the batter into a nonstick 5X9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove to a cutting board. Cut diagonally with the serrated knife into half an inch slices on a pleased cookie sheet. Bake again at 375 for five minutes or until the bottom of the slices turns golden brown, turn the slices over and bake for another five minutes.

  2. Remove and put on a wire rack to cool.
