660 grams Beef
184 grams Carrots
2 stalk, small (5" long) Celery
100 grams Barley, Pearled, Cooked
5 grams Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tbsp Butter
40 grams Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
100 grams Onions

Recipe Directions for Angus beef stew with barley

  1. Fry theo nions using one cal oil spray.

  2. Lightly fry the cubed meat peices for a minute or two.

  3. Putt meat and veg. plus half a litre of beef stock and the barley in a pressure cooker and cook for ten mins. Thicken if necessary with flour and butter. Serve with rice or potatoes.
