This is a great low fat pesto sauce that I used when on weight watchers.

Recipe Ingredients for Angie G's Pesto Sauce - WW

2 tbsp pine nuts
2 cups basil
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Angie G's Pesto Sauce - WW

  1. Place pine nuts in a small skillet and set pan over medium heat. Cook until nuts are golden, about 3 minutes, be careful not to burn!

  2. Cool nuts on a separate plate

  3. Using a blender or food processor, combine nuts, basil, broth, cheese, oil, garlic and salt. Blend until smooth and thick. This is about 1/4 cup per serving. Serve with whole wheat pasta (calories counted separately).
