Recipe Ingredients for Angel Hair with Shrimp & Low Fat Peppercorn Sauce

1 cup butter (solid)
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 garlic cloves (minced)
3 teaspoons base (paste)
3 teaspoons parsley flakes (fresh)
3/4 teaspoon basil
3/4 teaspoon paprika
3/4 cup white wine
3/4 tablespoon peppercorn milage (crushed)
1 1/2 pounds angel hair pasta
1/2 tablespoon Olive Oil
1 1/8 pounds raw shrimp

Recipe Directions for Angel Hair with Shrimp & Low Fat Peppercorn Sauce

  1. 1. Cook angel hair pasta according to recipe.

  2. 2. Melt butter in a sauce pan. Add lemon juice, chicken paste and white wine stirring after each addition.

  3. 3. Add garlic, 1 ˝ teaspoons of the parsley, basil, and paprika, stir.

  4. 4. Keep sauce on low heat, stirring occasionally.

  5. 5. Put olive oil in large sauté pan over medium heat.

  6. 6. Add shrimp, sauté over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until pink.

  7. 7. Add peppercorn sauce to shrimp, heat to minimum internal temperature of 145°F.

  8. 8. Stir sauce mixture into cooked pasta.

  9. 9. Place 4 oz. pasta on serving plate. Top with shrimp mixture.

  10. 10. Garnish with pinch of parsley and a pinch of paprika.

  11. 11. Garnish with a pinch of peppercorn milage on side of plate.

  12. 12. Serve immediately.
