2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup shortening
0.66 cup Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
0.33 cup sour cream
3 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for The American Woman's Baking Powder Biscuit

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in the shortening. Add the sour cream and milk. Mix well, then turn onto a floured surface. Knead briefly. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to about 1". Cut dough into 12 pieces. Lift on to baking sheet. Bake for 11-12 minutes. Remove to a bread basket; serve warm.
