Simple easy American mayo based potato salad served cold as a good side dish for a hot day.

Recipe Ingredients for American style potatoe salad

8 potatoes, boiled, cubed, diced
3 tablespoons mayo
1/3 cup onion, diced
1/3 cup celery, chopped
1/3 cup sweet pickles, diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 hard boiled egg, diced

Recipe Directions for American style potatoe salad

  1. Boil and then dice the potatoes and egg.

  2. Dice the onion and celery and toss in a bowl with the potatoes and egg pieces.

  3. Dice the pickles, use stackers if you can get them as they are easiest to dice. Bread and butter pickles tend to be the best flavor.

  4. Toss everything together in a large bowl and chill before serving.
