A delicious thin crust, spicy sauced cheese pizza.

Recipe Ingredients for Amber's Spicy Home Made Pizza

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 cup warm water
1/4 oz. active dry yeast
1/4 tsp. salt
8 oz. tomato sauce
6 oz. tomato paste
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tbsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. dried basil
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 dash black pepper
5 oz mozzarella cheese, grated
1 tbsp. chili powder

Recipe Directions for Amber's Spicy Home Made Pizza

  1. Add active dry yeast to warm water and stir well.

  2. let sit for 10 minutes

  3. add flour, olive oil and salt to water and yeast mixture

  4. mix until most of the flour has been removed from the sides of the bowl

  5. spread some flour down on the counter/table and knead dough for 7-10 minutes until dough is elastic like.

  6. set dough in a bowl sprayed with pam and cover with a clean cloth in a warm spot for thirty minutes. I like to let the dough rize on the stove top while i'm pre-heating the over.

  7. While the dough is rising we can now turn our attention to the sauce.

  8. in a small/medium sauce pan combine tomato sauce, paste, olive oil, salt, oregano, basil, garlic, red pepper flakes, chili powder and black pepper.

  9. Stir until all is mixed well.

  10. Add water until desired sauce texture is reached.

  11. Heat on low heat for twenty minutes stirring occasionally.

  12. The dough should have risen a good deal and look pillowy soft.

  13. Divide dough in half to make 2 pizzas.

  14. Flatten dough out however you like it, round, square thicker or thinner.

  15. Spread desired amount of sauce on pizza and top with grated cheese.

  16. Bake at 350 F for 12 minutes. Oven's may vary but it's good to check your pizza at the 12 minute mark and decide from there if you'd like to let it cook longer.
