low cal/fat tasty sweet almond biscuit wheat free. can contain alcohol but not necessary lovely with coffee

Recipe Ingredients for Amaretti Biscuits

340 g porridge oats
340 g caster sugar
4 egg whites
1 tbsp almond essence

Recipe Directions for Amaretti Biscuits

  1. put oven on 190

  2. ground the oats till a fine powder

  3. combine oats and sugar

  4. whisk egg white in a separate bowl

  5. slowly add oats and sugar to egg stir don't beat.

  6. add almond essence

  7. place in teaspoon blobs about 2cm apart as it will expand I find shaping between two tsp will make a neat and equal sized biscuits

  8. put in oven for 10-15 mins till crisp and starting to brown

  9. for a slightly stronger almond flavor use amaretto instead of essence
