Recipe Ingredients for Alton Brown's Granola

2 cups oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup almonds, sliced
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup dried cranberries

Recipe Directions for Alton Brown's Granola

  1. Butter 9x9 glass baking dish. Preheat oven to 300.

  2. Spread oats, seeds, almonds, germ onto sheet pan and place in oven to toast 15 min sitrring occasionally.

  3. In the meantime, combine honey, g sugar, butter, vanilla and salt in pot over med heat and cook til sugar is dissolved.

  4. Once oats are done, remove from oven (turn to 300). Immediately add oat mixutre to liquid mixture, add fruit, stir. Turn into pan, press down and cook 25 minutes.
