Recipe Ingredients for Alternate Amish Friendship Bread

3/4 cup lowfat yogurt
1 1/3 cups honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 large egg whites
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cups 1% milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 box vanilla pudding
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

Recipe Directions for Alternate Amish Friendship Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine yogurt, honey, vanilla, eggs, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Add flour, milk, soda, pudding, and baking powder. Mix well. Grease two large loaf pans and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Pour bread mixture into pans and sprinkle with any leftover cinnamon and sugar. Bake for one hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

  2. (may add nuts, mini chocolate chips, dried fruit, etc.)
