Recipe Ingredients for Alpisa 13 Bean Soup 11 Nov 2012

200 g 13-Bean Soup Mix
310 grams raw onion
5 cloves garlic
1 tsp Salt
125 grams celery
900 grams diced tomato
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp fresh minced rosemary
2 tsp dried basil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp corn starch
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
3 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp molasses
1/3 cup dry barley
300 grams parsnip

Recipe Directions for Alpisa 13 Bean Soup 11 Nov 2012

Soak bean mixture overnight. Drain off soaking water and set beans aside. In the cooking pot, saute onions, celery, squash and garlic then add spices and saute a bit more. Add 4 cups of water, tomatoes and beans, bring to a boil then turn low and simmer for a couple hours. Add vinegar at the last half hour.
