Recipe my Aunt Cass photocopied from a recipe book or something and sent to my mom to make for Thanksgiving. Calories change depending on what you use for each item. I entered this using the recipe only as I do not know what brands etc. were used.

Recipe Ingredients for Alpine Chicken Casserole

4 Serving Chicken
5 serving Sliced Non-Smoked Provolone Cheese
15 oz Cream of Chicken Soup
0.5 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
5 oz Croutons
2 oz Shedd's Spread Country Crock Regular Soft

Recipe Directions for Alpine Chicken Casserole

  1. Cut up 4 deboned Chicken Breasts into 1-2 inch pieces and place in the bottom of a large casserole dish.

  2. Create a layer of cheese with the provolone (Recipe called for 1 pkg of swiss but we substituted just enough provolone to cover the meat).

  3. Mix together 1/2 cup milk and 1 can cream of chicken soup and spread over the cheese slices.

  4. Spread 2 cups of seasoned croutons over the soup mix.

  5. Melt 1/4 c of butter or margarine and drizzle on the croutons.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  7. If you double the recipe the time will need to be extended.

  8. Recipe said it serves 4-6 but we had enough for us 4 plus leftovers for at least 3 more.
