Aloo Parathas by hand. Seasoning of potatoes can be anything you want

Recipe Ingredients for Aloo Parathas

1 1/2 cup boiled potatoes
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup water
1 pinch of salt
2 tsp cilantro
1 tsp green chili
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp oil

Recipe Directions for Aloo Parathas

  1. Method for making Dough:

  2. 1.Mix wheat flour, salt, water, and make soft dough.

  3. 2. Leave it for 30 minutes.

  4. Method for filling:

  5. 1. Mix Mashed potatoes and seasonings. Make into six balls

  6. Method to prepare parathas:

  7. 1. Take a small ball of dough and roll a thick roti about 4" diameter. (dough will make 6 parathas)

  8. 2. Place a handful of filling at center.

  9. 3. Bring the ends to the center from 4 or 5 points.

  10. 4. Overlap ends so they do not leave an opening and pinch together

  11. 5. Press gently. Let rest for a couple minutes. Dust with dry flour and proceed to roll.

  12. Frying the parathas:

  13. 1. Heat a griddle and place paratha on it.

  14. 2. brown each side until small brown marks appear.

  15. 3. Add 1 tsp oil around paratha on first side and flip over to cook again, pressing with spatula. Cook until it turns golden brown

  16. 3. Repeat the same with other side of paratha. (omit oil)

  17. eat with chutney and curd
