Recipe Ingredients for Almost Vegan Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

2/3 c dark brown sugar
2/3 c granulated sugar
5 tbsp soy margarine, softened
1/2 c tahini
1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
1/2 tsp honey (or agave nectar)
3 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
8 oz chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Almost Vegan Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. In a large bowl, add all ingredients in order, blending after each addition.

  3. Drop 1″ balls of batter onto lightly greased cookie sheets.

  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until slightly golden. (Though they won?t look completely done, don?t overbake unless you want crunchy cookies, as they harden a bit while cooling.) Best enjoyed warm.
