An easy to make home version of Nutella.. except with heart-healthy almonds!

Recipe Ingredients for Almond Nutella

0.33 cup, sliced Almonds
0.5 cup Dry Whole Milk
0.25 cup Cocoa, Dry Powder, Unsweetened, Processed
0.063 cup Cornstarch
2.66 fl oz Vanilla
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Almond Nutella

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine hazelnut meal, dry milk powder, brown sugar, cocoa powder and cornstarch. Add in milk and vegetable oil and whisk until smooth. Cook over medium heat, whisking frequently, until mixture begins to thicken and just starts to bubble. Remove from heat and transfer to a heatproof container, preferably one with an airtight lid.

  2. Cool to room temperature and, if not eating right away, store in the fridge with an airtight lid on the container.

  3. Spread tastes best at room temperature and will keep for several days in the fridge.
