Gluten-free biscuits. Nice substitute for chili or stew.

Recipe Ingredients for Almond Flour Green Onion Flecked Biscuits

2 1/2 cups ground almonds
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
2 large eggs

Recipe Directions for Almond Flour Green Onion Flecked Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Grease a cookie sheet with butter, lard, coconut oil or your favorite legal fat.

  3. Mix the dry ingredients together in one bowl, then whisk together to mix the ingredients evenly.

  4. Add the chopped green onions to the dry ingredients.

  5. Mix the egg and coconut oil together.

  6. When the oven is heated up, mix the wet and dry ingredients together.

  7. If mixture is dry, add a couple of teaspoons of water to the dough.

  8. Mixture can be crumbly but should stick together like pie dough once smashed together.

  9. Roll ball of dough to 1/2" thick. I used my medium sized heart shaped cookie cutters to make biscuits.

  10. Bake 10 minutes, check to see if they are done with a toothpick inserted in the middle that comes out clean.

  11. Makes 17 biscuits.
