Recipe Ingredients for Almond Date Nut Bread

8 oz whole Dates
2 cups boiling water
1 stick margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sliced almonds

Recipe Directions for Almond Date Nut Bread

  1. Pour 2 cups boil water over dates; let set for 20 minutes

  2. Blend margarine, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add dates.

  3. Separately blend flour, soda, salt and nuts.

  4. Blend dry and wet ingredients.

  5. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Let stand for 20 minutes.
