Recipe Ingredients for Almond cookies Pains d'amande

2.33 cup Flour, All Purpose
0.25 tsp Baking Soda
4 oz Unsalted Butter
300 grams Turbinado Sugar
0.5 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
0.33 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 cup Sliced Almonds

Recipe Directions for Almond cookies Pains d'amande

  1. Sift dry ingredients. Combine butter, sugar, cinnamon and water over low heat until butter melts. Cool for 30 mins at room temp. Stir dry ingredients into wet until thoroughly blended.

  2. form into loaf in pyrex.

  3. refrigerate until firm.

  4. slice into 1/8" slices.

  5. Bake at 325 for 10 mins each side until light golden.
