Recipe Ingredients for Almond Butter Cookies

6 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons reduced fat cream cheese
1/2 cup almond butter
1/4 cup agave syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup flax seed

Recipe Directions for Almond Butter Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. With an electric mixer, beat butter, cream cheese, and almond butter until creamy.

  3. Add sugars and baking soda. Add egg and vanilla.

  4. Gradually add flour until a soft dough is formed.

  5. Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

  6. Bake eight to ten minutes or until firm. Remove cookie sheets from oven (immediately place one Hershey kiss in the center of each cookie if using). Enjoy!
