Light and delicious traditional italian cookie. This is often served with coffee or just as is for an after dinner treat.

Recipe Ingredients for Almond Biscotti

1 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup fat free chocolate syrup
1/4 cup egg beaters

Recipe Directions for Almond Biscotti

  1. 1) Combine all ingredients in bowl mix and knead until dough forms.

  2. 2) separate dough into two eight by two inch logs.

  3. 3) Place dough on lightly greased baking sheet into a 350 degree oven for 23 minutes.

  4. 4) Transfer logs onto cooling rack for ten minutes.

  5. 5) Slice logs into 1 1/2 inch thick slices place slices onto baking sheet for 20 minutes at 300 degrees turning over every 10 minutes.

  6. 5) Then transfer slices to wire cooling rack.

  7. 6) Let slices sit for 10 minutes and enjoy.
