Serve with a salad and warm bread if desired." Customized to use less sauce for fewer calories and a more natural taste. (Original tasted too much like baked ziti.)

Recipe Ingredients for (AllRecipes.com) Easy Pasta Casserole

1 pound pasta
1 pound lean ground turkey
8 ounce Italian-style stewed tomatoes
1 cup spaghetti sauce
1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Recipe Directions for (AllRecipes.com) Easy Pasta Casserole

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and reserve.

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  3. In a large skillet, brown the meat until no longer pink; drain off grease. Add spaghetti sauce and tomatoes to skillet and simmer for 10 minutes or until warmed through.

  4. In a casserole dish, pour in beef and tomato mixture and add pasta; mix well. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.

  5. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese starts to bubble; serve immediately.
