Sent around on the internet - probably from the 60s. We have never made this, but submitted the recipe so we could get the nutritional analysis - did we really eat like that back then?

Recipe Ingredients for All-American French Fry Spam Casserole

20 oz frozen french fries, thawed
2 c Shredded Cheddar cheese
2 c Sour cream
10 3/4 oz (1 can) Condensed cream of chicken soup
12 oz (1 can) SPAM Luncheon Meat, cubed
1/2 c Chopped red bell pepper
1/2 c Chopped green onion
44 g (1/2 cup) Finely crushed corn flakes

Recipe Directions for All-American French Fry Spam Casserole

  1. Heat oven to 350F.

  2. In large bowl, combine potatoes, cheese, sour cream and soup.

  3. Stir in SPAM, bell pepper, and green onion. Spoon into 13x9-inch baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle with crushed flakes.

  5. Bake 30-40 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
